Employees get free ATM access through WagePoint, a service of Paynet Kenya

Diamond Trust Bank, Paynet Kenya and East African Growers (EAG) yesterday entered into an agreement, which will see employees of the latter receive free banking services.

Using ATMs owned by the bank and located in the premises of EAG at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (Jf\IA), workers will leach receive an ATM card to draw their monthly salaries instead of the traditional cash payment system that has been in use.

Diamond Trust Bank Chief Executive Officer Nasim Devji, said the hew arrangement will enable workers enjoy the
benefits of technology that an ATM brings to its users.

"This ATM card will effectively offer a secure banking service to workers who are largely un-banked and this is seen as a positive move in our quest to service a broader market," she said.

Devji said other potential users are ports authorities, plantation, mining and manufacturing companies. "The opportunity to offer a banking service that provides a win-win situation for both unique proposition," Devji said.

All the technology, operations and management for these Diamond Trust ATMs will be facilitated by Paynet Kenya, who also manage Diamond Trust Bank's ATM network.
