MapSwitch contracts Paynet Kenya to provide Outsource Services

MapSwitch has commissioned Paynet Kenya to provide Outsourced ATM and Card services. These services will then be offered to Postbank Uganda as part of a broader agreement between the bank and Mapswitch.

MapSwitch has recognized Paynet Kenya’s expertise in financial outsourced services and singular ability to deliver regionally, thereby choosing its association for this project. Paynet Kenya already provides Outsource services for Diamond Trust Bank in Uganda.

Moreover, this development helps to further consolidate Paynet’s presence in the region.

Postbank Uganda is a Savings Bank and a player in the Uganda banking sector whose primary customers are low to middle-income earners in both formal and informal sectors. The bank plans to migrate its passbook customers to ATM cards, a milestone in the adoption of technology in the local banking sector.
