Congratulations Mrs Nasim Devji, CEO DTB Group

The Paynet Group offer deepest congratulations Mrs Nasim Devji, the CEO of DTB Group on being presented the ‘’2010 Leading African Woman in Business’’ award at a prestigious event in Washington.

The Africa Investor Group awards recognize managers who excel in running sustainable and socially responsible businesses and fetes exceptional business practices and achievements on the continent.

“I am grateful and humbled to receive such a prestigious recognition, which has marked an important milestone in my life,” Mrs Devji said yesterday in Washington D.C where the awards were presented.

She is one of the few women so far to hold the position of chief executive at a commercial bank in Kenya. Mrs Devji joined the DTB group as head of finance in 1996 just when it was converting into a fully fledged commercial bank from a non- bank financial institution. She headed several business support functions within DTB was appointed CEO in 2001. Under her leadership, the bank expanded into the East African region from its Nairobi headquarters.
